Surprise

Surprise Baby #2 is on the way!!!

For a while now I have not really felt right but I had no idea what was wrong. I was positive that my thyroid was off. I went for a lot of blood work right before Christmas Vacation to see what was wrong but seeing that my doctor only works on Monday's I was not able to get in to see him before New Years. No Problem I thought we would figure it out soon. I was feeling very tired, more tired than normal. Last week my husband went to the field for 4 days and I really started noticing something was going on. At night it was a little uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach and I was tender in some areas. All day Thursday as I was out running errands I kept getting the feeling to buy a pregnancy test and take it. God is amazing at giving us hints. Thank goodness I followed his hints and caved at Target and bought a test. It came back positive. I was in COMPLETE shock. I read and reread the instructions making sure this test was right. I started freaking out and called Jon, this was probably not my best decision because I completely freaked him out. I am not sure he knew what to think. After talking to him I was more freaked out and needed calming down so I called my mom to tell her the big secret. She was in complete shock as well. My news was a little shocking to everyone including us. My next call was to my infertility doctor to get a blood test ASAP. Luckily she could work me in the next day. All afternoon I thought I would be worried but I knew, this time I knew I was pregnant and that she was going to call back with the good news.
That afternoon we were still in Nashville because we had planned a long 4 day weekend stay in Nashville before all this happened. I ran into Target to grab a few things and the call came. I find this funny because the last time I got a phone call with results I was standing in this same Target except this time it was great news! They were so excited to call me and tell me yes we were having a baby! Also they let me know that my estrogen was at 57,900. This was a great number! They wanted me to be over 5,000 to be able to do a ultrasound to see how far along I was and I was way over which estimated me between 5-10 weeks. They scheduled me a appointment Monday morning and then I was dying to call Jon. He laughed at me. I probably should have walked out of Target to tell him but I have no patience and I was dying to tell him. He needed the blood test to know for sure. When I got to the car we were both so excited. We started the phone calls to family. We shocked everyone but everyone was so happy.

Monday morning we were dying to get to the appointment and see this sweet miracle baby. I wanted to know more details. See I had not had my monthly lady friend visit since before my last round of infertility treatment that we had to cancel mid-cycle because my estrogen was so low. So I had no idea when I conceived or how far along I was. Luckily in my ultrasound they were able to measure and estimate me at around 8 weeks with a due date of August 27, 2012.
We were both excited and we are both still in shock.
There are some worries though and a few prayer requests.

1. Please pray that this remains a healthy baby growing in my tummy.
2. Please pray that this baby comes a little early so that daddy will be here to see it's arrival.
3. Please pray that this baby does not come to early so that daddy does not have to leave with a baby in the NICU.
4. Please pray for our family as we will start a new journey as a growing family with Jon in Afghanistan. Poor Jon will miss the 1st year of both of our children's lives. I know it will be hard for him.
5. Please pray my blood pressure stays down throughout this pregnancy.

The worries of August are heavy on my heart but we are very excited to welcome this precious miracle baby in to our family. God is good!!! In his timing he blessing us with another child and we are so thankful.
