Wedding Post #5
Wedding Post #5- The Beginning
We had such a great morning getting ready together. We had a amazing parlor room that sweet ladies from the church had set up. They did such a amazing job! It looked so cute and they had a coffee machine for us and fruit and cheese trays! Yum! We only had one thing go wrong. One of the other girls dress had a broken zipper. When we zipped her up it split apart and the prongs were all broken so we could not get the zipper back down. We had to literally sew her into the dress. Poor thing! I felt so bad for her. After everyone was ready we started taking photos up till right before the wedding. I can not wait to see the professional shots they are going to be amazing!

Tyler's Fishing Skills
Monday morning Jon was dying to take Tyler fishing again so we all loaded up and went to the river. We went to a park that had a boat launch and a little pier to fish off of. When we arrived we soon learned that we would not be fishing off the pier because the walk way was under water. The water in the river was really high. We decided we would fish right on the boat launch. Jon and Tyler caught a few little guys. Tyler was not afraid of the water and managed to get everything on him wet. Little boys are so fun! After a quick trip out on the pier we undressed Tyler and decided it was time to go home. Tyler was asleep before we could get out of the parking lot!

Wedding Post #4- The Cake
My mom and I made Candace and Phil's wedding cake for the. It was an adventure. My mom is a pro! Seriously a pro and makes the best cakes ever! My mom and dad came and got me and Tyler the weekend before so that I could be there the whole week and we could work on the cake.

This was our inspiration photo but the bride wanted all white cake. Monday we started making the daisies. My Mom was cutting out the base and i was rolling the yellow balls. We used egg cartons and fondant forms to place them in and to shape the sides. Tuesday I finished making the other half of the daisies. We made 215 daisies total. They were actually pretty easy to make. Wednesday I baked all the cakes. We made a 2 6 inch cakes, 2 10 inch cakes, and 2 14 inch cakes. Thursday between the two parties I had to go to I made 6 recipes of buttercream icing. Thursday night my put the crumb coat on the cakes, let it dry and then worked on icing them. Friday night during the rehearsal dinner my mom was working on finishing icing all the cakes. During the rehearsal I called her to let her know that we needed two more 6 inch cakes so she baked them as well. When I go home I helped her work on the icing and helped glue all the yellow centers in the daisies and then all the daisies were placed on the cake.
Saturday my mom and dad delivered the cake to the reception venue. It was so cute and the bride and groom loved it. It tasted so yummy also!

Wedding Post #3- Rehearsal Dinner
Friday night we all joined at the church for the rehearsal. On groomsmen was stuck in a major traffic accident in Birmingham and was late and the groom and some groomsmen had gotten lost earlier in the day and had not got to go and change clothes. His clothes were on the way and we got the night started off right. We had a good rehearsal and everyone got the general idea of what was going on without a lot of confusion. Great Job Jee!!!!
Next was the Rehearsal Dinner. It was at the Victoria Inn and was so lovely. Jon and I stayed at the inn our honeymoon night and it was wonderful then as well. I have been to several events there and they always do such a great job. We had barbeque style and we ate on the back decks and patio. Everyone had a great night and were all ready for the next day.

Our Weekend
Happy Monday! I know most dread it and we do sometimes also, but lately Jon had been off on Monday so we are liking it.
Saturday morning Jon started out with a long run and then we had breakfast. We did not do very much. We got out all of our clothes for the beach and for our trip to LA. I started folding everything and also worked on laundry. We then realized we had WAY over packed. HA! Lunch time Jon grilled a few brats. Then we watched Little Fockers. (Not as funny as I thought it would be. We were a little disappointed.) We played chase with Tyler some. Also Jon cut out a airborne badge and air assault badge so we went to Hobby Lobby to get some paint. For Dinner we had some yummy pasta and then when Tyler went to bed we watched Marley and Me.
Note: Will never watch that movie again. It is a good movie and has a good storyline. But I cried for over 1/4 of that movie and then Mocha got to sleep in the bed on top of me all night. Yeah good movie first time but I prefer to never see it again.
Sunday morning we slept late for church. Boo! Tyler woke us up at 8:40. What is up with him only wanting to sleep in on Sunday mornings? He is up by 7 every other morning. We got up and Jon went for a run and I took a long relaxing shower. It was heavenly! We had breakfast together and then watched a little Word World. It rained almost all day and at one point was thundering so hard we had things shaking in the house. I am so over all the thunderstorms. While Tyler was napping Jon brought the suitcase downstairs and I laid all our clothes out and matched up outfits and refolded and repacked everything. I also pulled some clothes that we did not need. Our beach suitcase is totally packed and ready to go! We will live in T-shirts all week! HA! Tyler's bag is also sort of packed. All through out the day I would take a few minutes and paint on Jon's projects but the paint I got after 6 coats you could still see the wood. After Tyler's nap we went to Walmart to get silver spray paint and look at coolers. Tyler also got to ride the bicycles. He loves bicycles. We had dinner at Captain D's. It was very yummy and Tyler was a angel and ate good! When we got back we went for a walk and Tyler rode his tricycle Lolli and Pop Pop bought him. Overall we had a chilled relaxing weekend. We got a little done so this week will go smoother and we will be ready to leave Thursday.
Hope you had a great weekend and have a great week!
